Earth Stories: Hong Kong
A Transdisciplinary Art, Ecology, and Research Project
Earth Stories: Hong Kong explores new habits of thought and feeling that emerge along the edges of Hong Kong's cultural and natural worlds. Based at the KFBG Green Hub in Tai Po, the project includes expressions by flora and fauna, sky and earth, poets, film-makers, voice-artists, dancers, and transdisciplinary undergraduate student researchers.
In the May 22, 2023 Webinar, Kanta Kochhar-Lindgren (the Artistic Director of Folded Paper Theatre and Dance Limited) and Gray Kochhar-Lindgren (the former Director of the Common Core and currently an Honorary Professor of Humanities at HKU) introduced the project and its collaborative team. We then showed clips from our film and explored with some of the co-makers about how art and transdisciplinary research might engage most effectively with the transformation of our relationships with the evocative preciseness of the earth.
